I took my biology exam back in November, and I got my results back the other day and I did really well. I think it was down to my revision that I did, so I thought I would share it with you.
1. Make notes and post them around your house.
Put them in places you would usually see them, like on the front of a drawer or on the back of the bathroom door. That way you will always see them and it will stay in your head. Only put short things on there though, not long things.
2. Take regular breaks.
For about every hour of revision take a 10 minute break, if not you'll get tired and you wont learn a lot. Remember to rest a lot as well.
3. Have revision parties.
This way you can have fun and still revise. Just make sure you don't go off track and start talking about things that aren't relevant.
4. Get your parents/friends to test you.
Every now and then, get your parents/friends to test you on what you've learnt. What questions you get wrong, learn them again and get them right next time.
5. Make a sheet of important words and meanings.
In exams, it's the words that you use that mean a lot. The better the words that you use, the more marks you'll get so make sure you know those words.
