Hello everyone! Long time no see. We now have Internet, yes! I will be blogging a lot more now.
To kick off my new blogs, I will do my favourite type of post, a book review. This review will be on the very popular House of Night books written by PC and Kristen Cast. I originally heard about these books from Elle Fowler (allthatglitters21) so I thought I would give them a go, so for Christmas I got the first five in the series; Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed and Hunted.
So a couple of days ago I finished Marked. It's about this girl, Zoey Redbird, who gets marked. Marked is when an adult Vampyre touches you and turns you into a fledgling. A fledgling is what you are before you're a Vampyre, your body is changing into a Vampyre, it can either accept the change and you become one, or it can deny it and you die. Simple.
When you're marked you have to go straight to the House of Night because if you don't stay near an adult Vampyre for a long time, you simply die. Now, the House of Night is where all fledglings go, they learn about being a Vampyre from their teachers, who too are Vampyres.
But Zoey is different. She doesn't have the usual mark of the outline of a crescent moon on her forehead, hers is filled in. The Goddess Nyx had given her something special.
This book was very much the opening of the series. It's where you learn about the characters and get to know the House of Night and about Zoey. There were some times in that book where you can't believe what you're reading, I like turns like that in a book, it keeps me on my toes.
This book personally I don't think was 'amazing' but I still enjoyed it, I am currently on the second book and it's getting very good. I can see it shaping up to be a good series.
